dr Hönle: Profit warning for the 2021/2022 financial year

Depreciation on inventories of air disinfection devices at Dr. Hönle AG issued a profit warning for 2022. The Gilching-based company had previously expected a loss of between EUR 3,0 and 3,5 million for the current year before interest and taxes. Hönle announced on Friday afternoon that the loss before interest and taxes would now be between EUR 9,5 and 11,0 million.

Depreciation on air disinfection devices totals 6,4 million euros. The background is a sharp drop in demand for such devices due to the increasing relaxation of the COVID-19 restrictions.

"As already published in the notification of November 02.11.2022nd, 2021, restructuring measures were also initiated at Raesch Quartz (Germany) GmbH, which will result in one-off special effects in the 2022/XNUMX financial year. the dr Hönle AG is currently examining various options for implementing the restructuring measures that have been initiated,” the company continued, explaining the reasons for the profit warning.

Hönle estimates sales at EUR 127 million, thus in line with the forecast of EUR 125 to 130 million. Adjusted for special effects, the communicated EBIT target will probably be reached, according to the company.

Due to the planned restructuring and the resulting effects on the balance sheet, Hönle is postponing the publication of preliminary figures for the 2021/2022 financial year from December 8 to December 21.
