IGM Resins acquires Litian

With a history of over 45 years and 23 years of experience in the energy curing market, Litian is currently the second largest Chinese manufacturer of UV acrylates with a high market share and good reputation in Asia. Litian employs 185 people, all of whom work at the Rudong (Jiangsu, China) site. Litian offers a complete portfolio of (customizable) monomers and oligomers and has valuable capacities in polyether polyols (the main raw materials) for monomers. Litian can produce all products by self-developed toluene-free process.

Litian's extensive portfolio is designed to strengthen IGM Resins' presence in all strategic market segments, particularly in the areas of industrial coatings, printing and packaging, and electronics. In addition, the acquisition gives IGM Resins a global resin manufacturing presence with locations in Rudong (Jiangsu, China) and Charlotte (NC, USA). The acquisition also strengthens the company's presence in the Asian market, diversifies the production of resins worldwide and strengthens the solution offering for three product lines by combining photoinitiators, energy-curing resins and additives.
