UV measurement technology
UV systems that are used in production or for laboratory purposes must achieve a constant
curing and are regularly monitored as part of quality assurance.
In practice, various measuring devices are available for this purpose:
- UV measuring strips (for web-shaped substrates and 3D objects)
- UV probes with measuring unit (for stationary measurements)
- UV inline probes (stationary, for "continuous" measurement directly in the system)
- UV measuring discs (probes for conveyor systems or stationary measurements)
- UV spectrometer (stationary)
With these devices, the UV radiation is always measured as a relative value, not as an absolute value. Different devices
often give significantly different results.
Regular calibration of the measuring devices is required!
